It’s crazy to me that there are so many things in our lives we can be negotiating, but a lot of us just kind of sit back and accept things as they are. I’m one of those people! Recently I have started learning about the power of negotiating and how so many areas in our lives can be negotiated to help us save money. I’ve decided it’s time to spread the word, so I created this list of 23 things you didn’t know you could negotiate with a few pointers to help you get started!
A lot of us don’t know what we really want in life. But, when you take the time to figure out what you don’t want…you can get a better idea of what you do want. Know what I mean? Well, let me say right now…no part of me thought I’d ever be homeschooling. Then, I started to learn the amazing benefits of it. And while I tried holding down a part-time job, my husband’s ever-changing schedule made it crazy stressful. They completely change traditional budgeting methods around. How? He encourages spending money — on you! This mindset is so different from most other budgeting gurus because it takes away that stinging guilt so many of us feel when it comes to spending money on ourselves. If this is an area of struggle for you, I’ve broken it down into simple steps you can start taking today to help you feel more OK with spending money on yourself!
So I can’t be the only one noticing that every time I go to Target, they are asking me to put in my phone number for Target Circle. Personally, the staff at Target haven’t been very good at explaining what in the world Target Circle is, how it benefits me an why I should be entering in my phone number. A whopping 1% back doesn’t exactly thrill me, especially when I have a 5% back Target Red Card.
My confusion is your gain. I went ahead and did the research on what the Target Circle is, how it works and if it’s even helping you save money. Spoiler alert: I’m kind of a skeptic.
