Mango Banana Sorbet

I went to the coffee house one Sunday on an 88 degree day. Briefly I debated getting a cold coffee, but I decided I’d go hot, after all, they usually crank the AC on days like those. Well, I was sure wrong! They didn’t have the AC on at all. Which meant I sat in 88 degree humidity doing work and sipping on room temperature coffee. If this sweaty scene didn’t happen I may never have created my mango banana sorbet.

As soon as I got home, I was craving something that would help cool me down. I grabbed the nearest ingredients and tossed them into my NutriBullet. Oh, it was the most refreshing thing I have ever had in my life. At least it felt that way after 3 hours of sweaty coffee sipping. Naturally, I wanted to share with you guys. Of course, it’s also super quick and super easy; perfect summer time cool down drink


1 frozen banana
1/2 mango
1 lime
5 ice cubes

Let’s Get Coolin’

1. Make sure you peel, break apart and freeze bananas at least a day ahead of time.
2. Scoop banana and mango into blender.
3. Squeeze juice of lime into blender. Add ice cubes.
4. Blend all ingredients.
5. Serve with additional fruit for garnish.

This drink was the perfect instant cool down and was absolutely delicious. I may experiment with my lime infused vodka later. I love finding cleaner, refined sugar free cocktails and this one would definitely be a winner!
