Homemade Cinnamon and Honey Granola

I might come as no surprise to you that sometimes store bought granola has a lot of added “junk.” If you are wanting to make sure you know exactly what is going into your granola, you will love this homemade cinnamon and honey granola recipe of mine! This recipe goes perfectly on top of a little coconut yogurt and some fruit and is crazy easy to make.

Once I discovered Minimalist Baker‘s super easy dairy free 2 Ingredient Yogurt, I just knew I had to get my homemade granola recipe going too! I mean, what’s yogurt without a little fruit and granola?

Naturally, I am in a constant battle with my kids for this. By nature, I am not great at sharing and when they eat the last of my granola…look out.

Speaking of the kids, they love helping make this cinnamon and honey granola too; not just eat it. This is a one bowl recipe, one pan, and minimal baking time. The best part is you can customize and tweak it where you need to.

Healthy Homemade Cinnamon and Honey Granola

Instructions
  1. Preheat over to 375.
  2. Melt coconut oil.
  3. Combine coconut oil, honey and cinnamon. Stir.
  4. All oats, almonds and chia seeds to coconut oil mixture. Stir.
  5. Spread evenly across cooking sheet.
  6. Bake for 5 minutes. Stir.
  7. Bake additional 5 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and allow 5-10 minutes of cooling time on cooking sheet.

You can use this granola on yogurt, on top of fruit, pancakes, anything. It has a great crunch to it and you will absolutely love it. It’s perfect because it’s also refined sugar free granola.
